Our story

Our story began in 2012 with a love for woodworking, a willingness to create, and the faith to take the next step before we could always see where it would lead.

We started small, building shelves, side tables, and dining tables out of our garage. Then one phone call changed the direction of everything. A friend asked if we could build 28 farm tables with removable legs for an outdoor wedding. That summer, we built all 28 tables — and without fully realizing it at the time, we built the beginning of a business.

Those tables became the foundation of a rental company that took us all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area, delivering handcrafted farm tables, benches and specialty inventory pieces for weddings, celebrations, and events. What started in a garage continued to grow, and five years later, another dream began to take shape: creating a wedding venue of our own.

With a lot of prayer, vision, hard work, and the support of investors who believed in what we were building, Brake & Clutch Warehouse was born. We transformed an old Dallas warehouse into a gathering place filled with character, history, and, fittingly, many of the tables we had built with our own hands.

For nearly a decade, we had the privilege of watching people gather around those tables. We saw weddings, celebrations, friendships, families, and memories made within walls we had helped bring to life.

Like most small family businesses, those years were both incredibly rewarding and incredibly hard. We made mistakes. We learned. We grew. We adapted. And through it all, we were reminded again and again that building something meaningful requires faith, perseverance, and a willingness to keep moving forward.

In 2026, a series of unexpected changes brought our chapter at the venue to a close. It was not the ending we had envisioned, but we hold tightly to the truth that sometimes the Lord closes doors we would have kept open ourselves. We may not always understand His timing, but we trust that He is in control of what comes next.

And so, in many ways, we find ourselves right back where we started. Back to the wood. Back to building.
Back to creating pieces meant to be gathered around, lived with, and passed down.

Good Cedar Co. is a return to our roots and the beginning of something new. We are creating handcrafted tables, timeless furniture, and thoughtfully designed pieces for the home — carrying forward everything the last fourteen years have taught us while trusting God with whatever lies ahead.

We don't know exactly where this next chapter will lead.

But then again, we didn't know what those first 28 tables would become either.

And we think there is something beautiful about that.
